Bode Obanla, who served as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State on Community Engagement for the Northern Senatorial District, has stepped down from his position.
In a letter addressed to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and dated July 17, 2025, Obanla cited the need to focus fully on his growing personal business as the reason for his resignation.
He described the venture as flourishing and now demanding his undivided attention.
He confirmed that all government property in his possession has been returned, including the official Hilux van assigned to his office.
The items were handed over through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement (Central).
Obanla expressed appreciation to the governor for the opportunity to serve the state, noting that his time in office gave him valuable experience in public service and a deeper understanding of the needs within communities in the northern part of the state.
He also expressed optimism that the administration would continue to extend development efforts to the region, especially to areas that have long lacked adequate government presence.
