Admin has left – Shehu Sani reacts as Atiku quits PDP

Must read

Former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has reacted to Atiku Abubakar’s departure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with a cryptic remark likening the move to a group admin exiting a chat.

Atiku, a former Vice President of Nigeria, officially resigned from the PDP on Tuesday, July 16, 2025.

In his resignation letter addressed to the chairman of his ward, Jada 1, in Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa State, he attributed his decision to what he described as the party’s failure to uphold its founding ideals and internal divisions that he deemed irreconcilable.

Reacting to the development via a post on X (formerly Twitter), Shehu Sani simply wrote: “Waziri; When the Admin left the group,” seemingly mocking the impact of Atiku’s exit on the PDP.

Atiku, who was the PDP’s presidential candidate in 2019 and 2023, is now a leading figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC)-led opposition coalition.

Political observers suggest he may be gearing up to contest the coalition’s presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general election.
