Tragedy struck again on Tuesday along the Ibadan-Lagos Expressway, near the Soka area, as a man was reportedly killed in a lone accident involving a Toyota Camry.
The incident, which occurred at the same location where over ten people lost their lives in a crash last week, has raised fresh concerns over safety on the busy highway.
According to eyewitnesses, the Camry, which had a Lagos registration number, veered off the road and hit a roadside culvert before crashing into a trailer that had been left at the scene of last week’s fatal accident.
“The driver died instantly,” one of the witnesses told our reporter. “He lost control and rammed into the stationary trailer.”
As of the time of this report, the exact cause of the accident had yet to be confirmed.
