Afrobeats legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2baba has opened up about his emotional state, hinting at deep personal struggles during a recent appearance on the 234Mzansi podcast hosted by media personality Nedu.
In a candid exchange, Tuface was asked if he was truly okay, given the flurry of controversies surrounding his personal life in recent months.
Nedu posed the question delicately: “When it comes to relationships, when it comes to women, when it comes to marriage… You’re my guy and I love you so much, but are you OK?”
The veteran singer responded with a cryptic remark: “This thing they call ‘living in bondage’—it’s real,”
suggesting that he may be battling more than meets the eye. He also added ominously,
“I know people who are ready for me to die.”
Tuface’s comments come in the wake of a highly publicised split from his wife of 13 years, Annie Idibia. Earlier this year, the music star shocked fans by announcing the end of their marriage and shortly after got engaged to politician Hon. Natasha Osawuru.
The new relationship stirred more drama when his family declared him missing, with his mother publicly appealing to Natasha to “release” her son. However, in a surprising twist, Natasha later shared a video of herself warmly posing with Tuface’s mother, leaving fans confused about the true state of affairs.
With emotional tensions rising and public interest at an all-time high, many are left wondering what’s next for the music icon. Tuface’s comments appear to signal that the superstar is grappling with the weight of fame, family, and emotional pressure behind the scenes.
