A local farmer, Alphonsis Iorbe, was reportedly killed by suspected armed herders while cultivating his land in Tse-Kanji, Ayilamo, situated in the Logo Local Government Area of Benue State.
The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday, June 24, around 1:00 p.m., according to sources who spoke with Zagazola Makama.
“He was all by himself on the farm when the attackers arrived and took his life,” a witness revealed.
The attackers allegedly fled the area immediately after the killing, prompting nearby residents to raise an alarm.
Security operatives, including soldiers and police personnel, were swiftly dispatched to the scene following a distress call.
