An employee of Iran’s state television network has died after an airstrike hit a building used by the country’s national broadcaster in Tehran, reports say.

According to the Fars News Agency, which is affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the attack targeted a facility housing the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN).

Footage of the incident shows the moment a loud explosion disrupted the station’s live broadcast.

The deceased has been identified as Masoumeh Azimi, a staff member of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), which oversees numerous radio and television outlets across the nation, including IRINN.

The strike occurred as tensions between Israel and Iran continued to intensify. Iranian authorities report that more than 220 people have died since the latest wave of Israeli airstrikes began on Friday.

Meanwhile, Iran’s retaliatory attacks have reportedly claimed the lives of at least 24 individuals in Israel, according to a statement released by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.
