China blasts Trump over Tehran evacuation warning amid escalating Iran-Israel crisis

Must read

China has sharply criticized former U.S. President Donald Trump for his provocative remarks amid rising tensions between Iran and Israel, accusing him of inflaming an already volatile situation.

Trump, via his Truth Social platform, had warned residents of Tehran to “immediately evacuate” following Israel’s surprise airstrikes across multiple Iranian targets last week.

The strikes, launched after years of hostility and covert operations, were justified by Israeli officials as a move to thwart Iran’s alleged nuclear ambitions, an accusation Tehran firmly rejects.

Reacting to Trump’s comments, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said Tuesday, “Fanning the flames, pouring oil, making threats and mounting pressure will not help to promote the de-escalation of the situation, but will only intensify and widen the conflict.”

Guo emphasized the need for restraint and urged influential nations, especially those with leverage over Israel, to act responsibly and help prevent a broader regional war.

“The Chinese side calls on all relevant parties… to shoulder their responsibilities… and prevent the conflict from expanding and spreading,” he added.

Meanwhile, China’s embassy in Israel issued a fresh travel alert, advising its citizens to exit the country swiftly due to the deteriorating security landscape.

“The Chinese mission in Israel reminds Chinese nationals to leave the country as soon as possible via land border crossings,” the embassy said in a statement posted on WeChat, suggesting Jordan as a safer exit route.

“The conflict continues to escalate,” the statement warned, noting increased civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure as fighting intensifies.
