Governor Inuwa Yahaya on Saturday pledged total support for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambition, highlighting the president’s unprecedented focus on revitalizing Nigeria’s livestock and agriculture sectors.
The governor made the declaration during the official launch of the 184-hectare Agro-Livestock Industrial Zone in Gombe, a project backed by the Tinubu administration.
He described the initiative as a game-changer for both the state and the nation’s agricultural economy.
Yahaya praised Tinubu’s allocation of ₦120 billion to the livestock value chain, noting that 50% of the funds have already been released.
“No Northern leader in 47 years of governance ever considered injecting ₦120 billion into livestock, a sector that defines much of Northern livelihood,” he remarked.
He added that the president’s commitment to transforming agriculture demonstrates both vision and compassion.
“If not for a President who loves his people and has the capacity and will, this transformation would not have happened,” Yahaya declared.
Vowing full political backing, the governor assured: “For what he has done, is doing, and will do, Gombe people will follow him to the battlefield blindfolded. We will work for his success in 2027. By God’s grace, his re-election is assured.”
Yahaya concluded by urging Nigerians to remain hopeful, affirming that the difficult phase of economic reforms will soon give way to prosperity under Tinubu’s continued leadership.
