Gunmen invade Nasarawa Royal Palace, abduct monarch

Must read

Suspected Fulani bandits have abducted a traditional leader, Sangarin Dari, Emmanuel Omanji, following a violent invasion of his palace in Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

AFRIPOST gathered that the terrifying incident occurred late Wednesday night when the armed attackers stormed the residence, firing indiscriminately to create panic before forcibly taking the monarch.

Sources confirmed that the abductors, armed with sophisticated weapons, fled with the traditional ruler to an unknown location, leaving residents shocked and fearful.

The Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the kidnapping and said a search and rescue mission had already been activated.

According to Nansel, “The CP has assured that the royal father would be rescued but called on anyone with useful information not to hesitate to report to the police.”

He also noted that Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, had mobilized the Anti-Kidnapping Squad, security forces, and local vigilante groups to support the effort.

Security agencies are working around the clock to ensure the monarch’s safe return as calls for public cooperation continue.
