Prominent members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun East Senatorial District have thrown their weight behind the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ademola Adeleke, ahead of the 2026 and 2027 general elections.
The declaration was made public through a statement by the senatorial district’s party leader, Akindele Famuyide, following a routine party meeting held on Thursday.
Famuyide expressed strong approval of the leadership style and accomplishments of both Tinubu and Adeleke, noting that their performance had significantly contributed to the group’s unanimous decision to support their continuation in office.
According to him, “The Osun East PDP wholeheartedly supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke for another term in office. Their achievements in governance have earned our full trust.”
He lauded President Tinubu for his infrastructure development drive and economic reforms, which he said were beginning to lower food prices and strengthen security across the country.
Famuyide further emphasized that the group’s endorsement was not merely symbolic, but rather a reflection of strong internal unity and determination within the PDP fold in Osun East.
“There is no room for dissent within our group. We stand united in this decision,” he added.
