The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to fostering political stability and preparing strategically for future electoral success.
Ganduje made this known on Thursday during the APC National Summit held at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Abuja.
According to him, Nigeria is beginning to see the impact of President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” which he described as a transformative policy framework aimed at rebuilding the nation.
“Signs of economic stability are beginning to emerge. We’re witnessing improvements in macroeconomic indicators, a rebound in oil revenues, and renewed interest from international investors,” Ganduje said.
He commended Tinubu’s leadership for steering the country in a positive direction, adding that the APC is fully aligned with the president’s agenda for economic recovery and inclusive national development.
“At the centre of our political and developmental journey is the Renewed Hope Agenda, which goes beyond being a slogan—it is a clear, strategic vision crafted by our leader, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he noted.
Ganduje described the agenda as a long-term plan to rebuild governance structures, restore economic vitality, and revive national confidence.
“Less than two years into the administration, we are already witnessing the Renewed Hope Agenda in action,” he said.
He outlined major reforms carried out by the Tinubu-led administration, such as eliminating fuel subsidies, unifying the foreign exchange rate, and initiating targeted policies in agriculture, infrastructure, and economic management.
He said the savings from these reforms are being redirected toward essential sectors like health, education, security, and infrastructure.
He also referenced the federal government’s recent approval of a new national minimum wage of ₦70,000, a three-month Conditional Cash Transfer programme of ₦25,000 to 15 million vulnerable households, and the introduction of the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative. “So far, over 100,000 vehicles have been converted to CNG, and the plan is to convert one million more within the next three years,” Ganduje added.
On the political front, the APC chairman expressed confidence in the party’s preparedness for future elections, particularly the 2027 general elections.
He said the party is investing in early mobilisation and capacity-building strategies for its members.
“We are committed to winning through fair, decisive, and strategic means. These off-season elections are a glimpse into our strength and preparation for a sweeping victory in 2027,” Ganduje stated.
He said the party has already begun laying the groundwork by training polling agents, mobilising support at the grassroots level, and equipping campaign teams with data-driven strategies.
Ganduje also pointed to the APC’s strong performance in recent off-cycle elections, saying it demonstrates the party’s growing popularity and nationwide acceptance.
Looking ahead, he said the APC is focused on winning upcoming elections in Anambra and Osun States by enhancing grassroots engagement, strengthening state party structures, and launching early voter outreach programmes.
“The APC is leaving nothing to chance. We are equipping our grassroots teams, legal units, and campaign agents to ensure we secure resounding victories in upcoming polls,” he concluded.
