Adeola, the estranged daughter of renowned actress, Jumoke George, has returned to Nigeria after being trafficked to Mali four years ago.
This information was confirmed by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), who announced the news on X (formerly Twitter).
She wrote; “Breaking! Adeola, daughter of popular actress Jumoke George, who had been missing for four years after being trafficked to Mali, is finally back home. We just received her, alongside Biola Adebayo, who first shared the story, and actor Adeniyi Johnson,” Mrs. Dabiri-Erewa wrote.
Recall that the actress had revealed on Talk to B that her daughter Adeola went missing after leaving Ibadan for Lagos but later contacted the family, asking for forgiveness after traveling abroad with friends.
She also shared her health and financial struggles, saying she had to turn down acting roles and borrow money for medical tests costing about ₦400,000.
Host Biola Adebayo confirmed Jumoke is currently receiving treatment at a public hospital in Lagos.
