The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has commenced the distribution of upkeep allowances for April 2025 to qualified student beneficiaries nationwide.
This was disclosed in a statement released on Monday by the fund’s Director of Corporate Communications, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi.
According to the statement, although the majority of payments have been successfully completed, a few students might encounter delays.
This is due to a recent system upgrade aimed at enhancing payment processing and security. The upgrade is also expected to ensure more efficient and timely disbursements in the future.
NELFUND assured that it is collaborating with key stakeholders to quickly address any technical issues and ensure that all entitled students receive their allowances without further complications.
The agency reaffirmed its dedication to transparency, efficiency, and prompt service delivery in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We thank all stakeholders for their patience and understanding as we continue to refine our processes to better serve Nigerian students,” the statement added.
