Star Nigerian singer, Johnny Drille has shared how becoming a father has transformed his perspective on love, responsibility, and the sacrifices parents make.
Speaking during a recent interview with Dose of Society, the Mavin Records artiste opened up about his evolving life philosophy, revealing that family now stands at the core of his priorities.
“The one rule I live by is family first. I would abandon anything I’m doing anywhere in the world if my family needs me, super importantly,” Drille stated.
The singer, known for his soulful sound and deeply personal lyrics, expressed that parenthood has renewed his appreciation for the roles his parents played in shaping his life.
“My parents didn’t have much; it was really hard sometimes that we didn’t have food to eat, but they figured out a way. Now, I have a child and I know what that feels like.”
“Family has always been my support system. Every time I got overwhelmed by the world around me, I always run back to family. And, it all felt better. They have been there for me, especially, my parents,” he said.
Johnny Drille also spoke about his dreams of giving back to his family, especially his parents, whom he credits as his biggest source of inspiration and strength.
“My biggest dream in life is to be able to take care of them, and get them to see the world,” he added.
