BREAKING: Crystal Palace stun Manchester City to win first-ever FA Cup title

Crystal Palace made history on Saturday evening by clinching their first-ever FA Cup title with a stunning 1-0 victory over defending champions Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.

Eberechi Eze netted the only goal of the game in the 16th minute after a swift counterattack involving Jean-Philippe Mateta and Daniel Muñoz.

The goal sent the South London fans into a frenzy, as Palace held firm against a dominant City side that controlled over 80% of possession.

Despite relentless pressure, City failed to find an equaliser, largely due to the heroics of Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

The former Manchester United shot-stopper made several crucial saves, including a first-half penalty stop from Omar Marmoush.

The match was not without drama. Henderson escaped a potential red card after handling the ball outside his box, with VAR ruling it did not deny a clear goal-scoring opportunity.

A second-half goal by Muñoz was also ruled offside, sparking tensions on the sidelines between both benches.

Palace’s win marks a historic milestone, having previously lost their two FA Cup final appearances in 1990 and 2016.

Under Austrian coach Oliver Glasner, who took over in early 2024, the club has reached new heights.

The Eagles now secure a spot in the 2025–26 UEFA Europa League and will face Liverpool in the upcoming Community Shield.
