Additionally, the statement acknowledged Pate’s extensive contributions to primary healthcare, particularly during his tenure as Executive Secretary of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA).

“Your steadfast commitment to healthcare system reforms, health equity, and strengthening primary healthcare is commendable,” they remarked, praising his efforts to revitalize frontline health facilities and expand the community health workforce, essential for improving maternal, newborn, and child health services.

“This strategic move is critical in tackling malaria, which accounts for nearly 65 percent of clinical visits in our country”.

They also commended the Ministers governance approach, focusing on fostering partnerships among government entities, development partners, and the private sector, which has enhanced transparency and attracted necessary investments in the healthcare space.
