Newcastle United are reportedly nearing a transfer agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for Nigerian striker Victor Boniface.
German outlet BILD suggests the deal is approaching its final stages and could be concluded soon.
Boniface had been linked with a move to Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr during the January transfer window, but the club ultimately chose to sign Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran instead.
The 24-year-old has endured a challenging season due to injury setbacks but still managed to find the net 11 times across 27 Bundesliga appearances.
Boniface, who signed with Bayer Leverkusen from Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023, was instrumental in the club’s domestic double success last season.
