American singer and The Little Mermaid star, Halle Bailey, has obtained a domestic violence restraining order against her former partner, rapper Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., also known as DDG.
The court mandated that DDG maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from Bailey and barred him from making any public statements about her or their son.
The judge further authorised Bailey to take their son, Halo, on a two-month trip to Italy for a film project.
This legal move follows serious allegations of physical and verbal abuse. According to court documents filed in Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, Bailey recounted an incident in January when DDG allegedly turned violent during a custody exchange involving their 18-month-old son.
She stated that the rapper lost his temper after she raised the topic of arranging a visitation plan. While she was securing Halo into his car seat, DDG reportedly shouted, “Get out of my car, BITCH,” which caused their son to cry.
Bailey submitted surveillance footage allegedly showing DDG smashing her doorbell camera and throwing her phone. She also gave police photographic evidence of a bruised arm and a chipped tooth.
