Reason I faded out of music scene – Orezi

Notable Afrobeats sensation, Orezi has opened up on the reason he faded from the music scene.

The ‘Ogede’ crooner admitted that his reduced ambition played a major role in his career decline.

During a recent appearance on Hip TV’s Trending, Orezi revealed that stepping away from the competitive nature of the industry negatively impacted his progress in the industry.

He also emphasized the value of consistency, pointing to Davido as an example.

Orezi noted how, despite his superstar status, Davido continues to work with the drive of a rising artist.

The musician said …

“I faded out [of the music industry] because I became less ambitious and comfortable with where I am. I was always on vacation, enjoying myself. I became less ambitious and took myself out of the competition [in the music industry].

“Competition fuels consistency. Look at Davido for example, he hustles like an underground artist. He has money and fame but he still maintains his hustling spirit.”
