In a show of commitment to international education, the Kebbi State Government has released more than ₦266 million to fund the university tuition of 100 students studying in India.
This was made known by the Commissioner for Higher Education, Isah Tunga, through a representative, Permanent Secretary Hussaini Tata, during a press conference held in Birnin Kebbi.
Tunga highlighted the governor’s action as a transformative step in the pursuit of educational excellence.
He said the funds, totalling ₦266,964,560, were approved by Governor Nasir Idris, who continues to champion the development of human capital in Kebbi.
Tunga added that the ministry views this gesture as one that will positively shape the educational future of the state for years to come.
