In a fresh move to solidify its dominance in Nigeria’s fuel supply chain, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has once again slashed the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.
The new price has been adjusted to N825 per litre, down from the previous N835 per litre.
This latest price cut marks the second consecutive reduction by the refinery within the span of a month.
Just last month, the company had dropped the gantry price from N865 to N835 per litre, signalling a strategic response to increasing competition among fuel suppliers across the country.
The 650,000-barrel-per-day capacity facility, located in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, continues to make bold moves aimed at attracting more marketers and easing the cost burden on consumers.
Industry insiders suggest the downward revision is part of Dangote Refinery’s broader plan to expand its market share and position itself as the preferred supplier of refined petroleum products within Nigeria.
According to sources familiar with the development, the price reduction is expected to create a ripple effect across the distribution chain, potentially influencing pump prices in the near future as marketers respond to the new cost structure.
