Police operatives from the Odo-Noforija Division have arrested 25-year-old Samson Oghenebreme in the Odomola area of Epe, Lagos State, for allegedly being in possession of human body parts.

The arrest took place on April 25, 2025, after local residents reported his suspicious movements to authorities.

“Upon investigation, it was discovered that the suspect was conveying the organs from Edo State to a traditional healer for the purpose of ritual money-making,” the Lagos Police Command stated in a release.

The recovered organs have been deposited at the General Hospital in Epe for proper preservation.

The case has been transferred to the Edo State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.

Reacting to the incident, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, commended the prompt action of his officers and the alertness of the local residents.

“The swift response of our operatives, combined with the vigilance of the Odomola community, made this arrest possible,” he said.

He also stressed the importance of citizen involvement in security efforts.

“We urge all residents of Lagos State to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station. Public safety is our top priority,” CP Jimoh added.
