Nigerian singer and songwriter, Seyi Shay has opened up that she was once in a romantic relationship with popular rapper Vector the Viper.
She made the revelation in a new episode of her talk show, Sharing with Seyi, while reflecting on her acting debut in the 2018 Nollywood film Lara and the Beat.
Seyi shared that the chemistry between her and Vector in the movie wasn’t just acting but it was rooted in a real-life connection they shared off-screen at the time.
“Vector and I… we were actually an item,” she revealed.
She explained that their bond dated back to a time before they became celebrities. This made their reunion on set years later feel authentic and natural. According to her, the strong vibe they shared made their performances flow effortlessly.
Interestingly, Vector’s wife was on set during the entire production, even during the more intimate scenes. Seyi praised her for being supportive and respectful throughout the shoot.
“She was like, oh yeah, do the kiss!” Seyi said, noting how encouraging and unfazed Vector’s wife was about the scenes.
While it might have seemed like an awkward situation, Seyi insisted that everything remained professional and respectful.
She further emphasized that there are no hard feelings between her and Vector.
“He and I have remained great friends regardless,” she added.
