Bauchi education supervisors removed from office

Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Duguri, Executive Chairman of Bauchi SUBEB, has taken decisive action by terminating all education supervisors working under the Bauchi LGEA, citing their disloyalty and misconduct as detrimental to ongoing educational reforms.

Speaking after a surprise visit to schools on the outskirts of Bauchi city to monitor third-term resumption, Duguri noted that the supervisors had failed in their responsibilities and were impeding progress. He instructed them to resume teaching roles immediately.

Duguri also announced punitive measures for underperforming staff, including suspensions and demotions, while recommending rewards for those who have shown diligence and dedication.

Meanwhile, the Education Secretary of the LGEA, Hajiya Talatu Yakubu, welcomed the monitoring initiative, commending the strong resumption turnout within the city.

However, she voiced concern over low attendance in rural schools, blaming teacher absenteeism.

Yakubu warned that teachers who shirk their duties without justification risk losing their salaries. She assured that deserving educators would be acknowledged for their service.
