There was a moment of panic on Wednesday when Kolade Alabi, Chairman of Bariga Local Government and the Lagos State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), suddenly collapsed while addressing attendees at the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:10 p.m. at the APC Secretariat on Acme Road, Ikeja, Lagos, throwing the gathering into confusion as concerned party members rushed to assist him.
Alabi was swiftly revived and taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
While the cause of the incident is yet to be confirmed, sources at the event noted that the swift response helped stabilize his condition.
