Senator Nenadi Usman, who leads the Labour Party’s National Caretaker Committee, has slammed Julius Abure, branding him an “impostor” with no rightful claim to the party’s leadership position.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday, Usman announced that the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Labour Party, under her stewardship, has demanded Abure respond within 24 hours or face potential disciplinary measures.
She accused Abure of behavior that contradicts the core principles of the party, warning that failure to explain himself could trigger sanctions. According to Usman, Abure’s actions have not only brought disrepute to the party but also called into question his commitment to its ideals.
Rather than attempting to undermine the party structure, Usman advised Abure to focus on responding to weighty allegations of corruption and document forgery currently hanging over him.
