The Benue Police Command has confirmed the tragic deaths of four individuals in an attack by suspected cultists at a beer parlour in Makurdi, the state capital.
According to a statement from the command’s spokesperson, SP Sewuese Anene, the incident occurred on Sunday night at a beer parlour in Akpehe, Makurdi. The attack also left several others hospitalized.
“The suspected cult attack at Akpehe has been confirmed, and investigations are underway,” Ms. Anene said. “Four people were confirmed dead, while others are currently receiving medical care.”
Ms. Anene further warned criminals to desist from illegal activities, emphasizing that those involved in such crimes will face the full consequences of the law.
