At least three farmers were reportedly killed after suspected armed bandits launched a brutal attack in the outskirts of Damaga and Gamagiwa villages in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The tragic incident occurred around 11:18 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, while the victims were working on their farmlands.
According to sources familiar with the situation, the attackers emerged suddenly and opened fire, leaving three individuals dead on the spot.
Security forces under Operation Fansar Yamma were quickly alerted and have since stepped up patrols in the affected areas.
A military response team was dispatched to the scene, and surveillance operations have been intensified to prevent further attacks and track down the perpetrators.
