The tragic incident was said to have occurred on Tuesday around the Eagle Island area of the city. Zubu was reportedly assigned as a security aide to a former Chairman of the Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.

As at press time, full details surrounding the circumstances of his death remained unclear.

However, findings by our correspondent indicate that the matter has been officially reported at the Eagle Island police post, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Azikiwe Police Division in Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt.

A police officer who spoke on condition of anonymity revealed that officers from the Azikiwe Division had visited the scene as part of initial investigative steps.

When reached for confirmation, the spokesperson for the state police command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, affirmed the incident but withheld specific details.
