Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen has reportedly reached a personal agreement with Manchester United, sparking speculation of a possible summer switch to the Premier League side.
The news was shared by Turkish journalist Aygün Özipek, who revealed that United have finalized personal terms with the striker.
Manchester United are believed to be targeting a top-tier forward, especially after Rasmus Hojlund’s underwhelming campaign.
Osimhen, currently contracted to Napoli, has made headlines during his loan spell at Galatasaray, scoring 29 goals and providing six assists in just 34 appearances.
Sources say the 26-year-old is eager to join the Red Devils, even though a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League is not guaranteed.
According to Özipek, Manchester United and Napoli have come to terms on a €60 million deal.
Although the Serie A side initially set Osimhen’s release clause at €75 million, they are reportedly ready to lower the price to keep him away from domestic rivals Juventus.
In addition, Osimhen is set to earn a lucrative €15 million annually in wages, equating to roughly €288,461 every week.
“Osimhen signs 5-year deal with Manchester United. A transfer fee of 60 million euros will be paid. The football player will receive a net annual salary of 15 million euros,” Özipek posted on X.
