A prominent figure in the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima, has openly criticized former President Muhammadu Buhari, declaring him politically irrelevant and branding his leadership a massive disappointment to Nigerians.
In an interview with Punch, Galadima didn’t mince words, claiming Buhari was no longer a factor in Nigeria’s political arena.
“Buhari is not relevant in Nigerian politics. He was defeated in 2019 by Atiku,” he asserted.
According to the NNPP stalwart, the 2019 presidential election results did not reflect the true outcome.
“Because they did not declare Atiku as the winner does not mean he didn’t win that election,” Galadima claimed.
He further accused Buhari of being “the greatest fraud that ever happened to Nigeria,” criticizing those who continue to visit and consult with the former president.
“When I see people going to Buhari, I just laugh. Who is Buhari?” he asked rhetorically.
Galadima advised the former leader to retire from public life and seek forgiveness for failing the nation.
“The man should just go and rest and wait for his death, and start doing astaghfirullah (seeking forgiveness from God) for dashing the hopes of the people of Nigeria,” he added.
