Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has declared that President Bola Tinubu is governing Nigeria with the full backing of the people.
Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) unity rally held in the Federal Capital Territory on Thursday, Bello urged citizens to remain calm and supportive, assuring that both the APC and President Tinubu are committed to strengthening the nation.
He stated confidently that the presidency is not up for grabs in the next general election.
“Come 2027, Aso Rock will not be vacant. President Tinubu is building a stronger Nigeria, and he holds a mandate given by the people. There’s no room for confusion about that,” Bello said.
Addressing speculations of a rift between former President Muhammadu Buhari and President Tinubu, Bello dismissed such claims as unfounded.
He also appealed to former APC members who had defected to other parties to reconsider their decisions and return to the fold, saying the party remains the best platform for national progress.
“You don’t abandon the house you helped to build. Those who left the APC should come back. If you’re in the APC and raising concerns, you’re being constructive. But if you’re outside the party and criticizing, it’s just noise,” he added.
