Bashir Ojulari, the newly appointed Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), has announced ambitious plans to boost crude oil production and attract substantial investments into the sector.

Ojulari revealed that the company aims to increase oil production to over two million barrels per day by 2027 and further raise it to three million barrels daily by 2030.

He also projected that NNPCL would attract investments of $30 billion by 2027 and $60 billion by 2030.

These goals were made public during a town hall meeting with NNPCL staff in Abuja, shortly after he assumed office.

Ojulari emphasized his commitment to advancing the company’s strategic vision and transforming NNPCL into a national pride.

In addition to ramping up crude oil production, he outlined plans to expand the company’s refining capacity to 200,000 barrels per day by 2027 and 500,000 barrels daily by 2030.

Furthermore, NNPCL intends to grow gas output to 10 billion cubic feet per day by 2027 and 12 billion cubic feet by 2030, while also working to improve energy accessibility and affordability for Nigerians.

Ojulari stressed that these targets are more than just figures—they represent opportunities for job creation, industrial development, and energy security for the nation.
