Popular Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Chukwuka Ekweani, popularly known as CKay, has ended his recording agreement with Warner Music South Africa, marking the close of a pivotal chapter in his music career.

The development was confirmed in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday.

CKay, whose global hits like ‘Love Nwantiti’ and ‘Emiliana’ have amassed billions of streams, described the decision not to renew his contract as both “mutual and strategic.”

When PUNCH Online contacted a source close to the artist, who spoke on condition of anonymity, he hinted at an imminent announcement, saying, “Fans can expect a fresh wave of music and direction in the coming weeks.”
