Must read

In the early hours of Tuesday, unidentified armed men launched an attack on the family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, located in Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants, believed to be at least three in number, arrived around 1:00 a.m., wielding guns and machetes.

They reportedly caused significant damage to the property, including smashing windows and vandalizing parts of the building, leaving residents in fear.

The senator’s Chief Security Officer, Yakubu Ovanja, promptly alerted the authorities, prompting officers from the Okehi Police Division to respond swiftly to the scene.

As of now, the motive for the attack remains unclear, and Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has yet to comment publicly on the incident.

The senator, who currently represents Kogi Central in the National Assembly, has recently been in the public eye following a sexual harassment accusation she made against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Security sources, including reports by Zagazola Makama, indicate that law enforcement agencies are actively investigating the incident and working to identify and apprehend those behind the attack.

Though no injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made, police say preliminary investigation is already underway.
