NAF jets pound terrorist bases in Sambisa, Southern Borno

Must read

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed that its airpower arm under Operation Hadin Kai executed two separate successful strikes on terrorist enclaves within Borno State.

According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, who serves as the Director of Public Relations and Information for NAF, both missions were carried out on Tuesday and targeted insurgent camps in the Sambisa axis and Southern Tumbuns.

The first operation occurred around 5:30 a.m. in Kollaram, an area long associated with terrorist activity.

Surveillance operations and intelligence findings revealed that top insurgent leaders had gathered there, with several makeshift structures—some featuring solar installations—serving as key hubs.

Precision airstrikes were deployed on the site, neutralizing numerous fighters and crippling their logistics setup.

Later in the day, at approximately 3:55 p.m., another airstrike was launched in Arra, within the Sambisa region.

Prior reconnaissance had identified movements of terrorist factions, with real-time surveillance confirming their presence before the strike was executed.

Air Commodore Ejodame stated that precision-guided weapons were used to effectively destroy the targets, thereby weakening the group’s operational strength.

He emphasized that these coordinated air offensives form part of a broader campaign aimed at eliminating terrorist hideouts, command chains, and strongholds throughout Nigeria.
