In a recent court ruling, the Apapa Magistrate Court has cleared 17-year-old Alabi Quadri, a minor who gained significant attention ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Quadri went viral after being seen standing in front of the convoy of Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate.
Magistrate Adetola Olorunfemi, after considering the legal advice provided by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), made the decision to release Quadri and free of all false charges brought against him.
This legal action highlights the role of the DPP’s counsel in shaping the final judgment, allowing the young individual to regain his freedom.
