Two incumbent governors will be removed by bandits – Primate Ayodele warns FG

The spiritual leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a strong warning to President Bola Tinubu and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, over the growing threat of insecurity across Nigeria.

In a statement released on Tuesday by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele cautioned that the unchecked activities of insurgents could lead to the forceful removal of two sitting governors, particularly in the northern region.

“Some governors need to be very careful so they won’t be sacked from office by these insurgents,” he said.

The cleric identified Borno and Benue State governors Professor Babagana Zulum and Hyacinth Alia, respectively, as high-risk targets if drastic action is not taken.

“The governors of Borno, Professor Babagana Zulum, and Benue, Hyacinth Alia, must take this insecurity thing seriously so that their offices will not be taken over by these daredevils,” Ayodele warned.

He emphasized that there are coordinated efforts behind the rising attacks and that the objective is to destabilize the current administration.

“There are people behind it to frustrate the president, and they want to fight without mercy,” he said.

“I am warning Nuhu Ribadu and President Tinubu to quickly deal with the insecurity issues, especially in the north.”

Ayodele further stressed the need for immediate and strategic intervention from the NSA to prevent a national crisis, noting that if left unaddressed, the violence could spill beyond the north.

“They will terrorise them, and we need to pray so we don’t see a situation of these governors and some in the north vacating their offices,” he said.

“This will also spread to Abuja, Kaduna, Yobe, and Nasarawa. We must be very careful.”
