The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral (Rtd.) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, CFR, has officially called on the suspended Governor, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, and his Deputy, Dr. Ngozi Ordu, to appear before him as part of an investigation into appointments carried out during their time in office.
The inquiry, scheduled for Friday, April 18, 2025, will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the Conference Room of the Government House in Port Harcourt.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibibia Lucky Worika, the suspended officials are expected to bring forward all documentation relating to appointments made in the last two years, including the rationale and procedures that guided those decisions.
“This session will not only scrutinize those appointments but will also give Sir Fubara an opportunity to defend his administration’s actions and explain why he believes he deserves to return to office,” the statement read.
The summons is part of a broader effort by the Sole Administrator to reintroduce accountability and ensure peace and good governance in the state.
Both Fubara and Ordu are expected to attend in person, and their presence has been deemed compulsory.
