The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), held on Thursday.
This was confirmed in a statement issued on Sunday by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.
According to the statement, candidates can access their mock results by texting “MOCKRESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the same mobile number used during registration.
The mock UTME serves as a preparatory test, allowing candidates to familiarize themselves with the computer-based test (CBT) format while enabling JAMB to assess new features and technical upgrades ahead of the main examination.
Benjamin noted that the initiative has proven effective over the years in identifying and resolving issues before the main UTME, as well as helping candidates gain confidence through firsthand experience.
He revealed that 200,115 candidates initially registered for the mock exam, but two withdrew, bringing the final number of registered candidates to 200,113.
Out of that number, 73,844 did not show up, and 88 others were unable to take the test due to biometric verification failure.
As a result, 126,181 candidates were able to sit for the mock exam, and results for 115,735 of them have already been released. The remaining 10,446 results are still undergoing processing and will be made available shortly.
JAMB acknowledged that some candidates encountered delays during the exam and expressed regret over any inconvenience, noting that such hitches were expected due to the introduction of new systems designed to improve the conduct of the main UTME.
