The ECWA community in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State has been struck by mixed emotions.
This is after their newly posted pastor, Samson Ndah Ali, was released by kidnappers—only for the church’s financial secretary to be taken in his place.
Pastor Ali was abducted on April 8, shortly after assuming his role in the Mararaba Aboro branch.
According to reports, his captors had initially demanded N100 million.
A church source told Daily Trust that Danjuma, the financial secretary, was sent with an unspecified ransom amount.
Unfortunately, after handing over the money, he was held by the kidnappers for reasons that remain unclear.
Ali later confirmed the development on Facebook, expressing relief over his release while urging prayers for Danjuma’s protection and freedom.
