The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (rtd), has approved the appointment of new chairpersons and members to the state’s Civil Service Commission and Local Government Service Commission.
The appointments were confirmed in a special government announcement released on Wednesday and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibibia Works.
Dr. Livinus Bariki has been named Chairman of the Civil Service Commission. Other appointed members include Ambassador Lot Peter Egopija, Mrs. Maeve Ere Bestman, Mrs. Joy Obiaju, and Mrs. Charity Lloyd Harry.
For the Local Government Service Commission, Mr. Isreal N. Amadi was appointed as Chairman. The newly appointed members are Mr. Linus Nwandem, Lady Christabel Ego, George Didia, Dr. Tonye Willie D. Pepple, Barrister Richard Ewoh, Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ofik (rtd), and Dr. Sammy Apiafi.
According to the announcement, all appointments will take effect from April 7, 2025.
