A shocking tragedy occurred in Ondo State when Adesoji Johnson Adeleye, the well-known owner and CEO of Klass Five Hotel, was murdered on Tuesday morning at his hotel in the Arakale area of Akure, the state capital.
According to reports, Adeleye was attacked by a group of armed men who are suspected to be assassins.
The assailants reportedly gained access to the hotel and encountered Adeleye, who had already awoken and was preparing for his day.
The attackers then overpowered him and fatally stabbed him multiple times, leaving his body in a pool of blood.
A close friend of Adeleye expressed deep shock, revealing that they had spent time together the previous evening and had planned to meet again the following day, only to be devastated by his sudden death.
The incident was immediately reported to the police, and investigators from the State Police Command arrived at the scene.
The body of the deceased was taken to the morgue, and authorities have begun questioning several individuals in connection with the murder.
Alexander Olayinka, the State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident, stating that Adeleye had been killed at his hotel.
He assured the public that a team of detectives had been assigned to investigate the crime and that efforts were being made to apprehend the perpetrators.
Olayinka also mentioned that the case had been transferred to the state police headquarters for further investigation, with a promise to hold those responsible accountable.
