Ibadan South-East Local Government Traditional Council led by Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja on Tuesday have paid a condolence visit on the families of a former governor of the state, Dr Victor Omololu Olunloyo and a former gubernatorial candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Yekini Adeojo.
Our correspondent recalls that Olunloyo died on Sunday while Adeojo died on Friday.
Ladoja led other members of the traditional council to visit the two families.
Other members of the council were Chief Adeniran, the Abese Balogun of Ibadanland, Chief Nureni Akanbi, the Laguna, Chief Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, Aare Egbe-Omo Balogun of Ibadanland and Chief Lekan Alabi, Maye Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The Maye Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Lekan Alabi described the demise of Adeojo and Olunloyo as a great loss to the people of Ibadanland and Nigeria at large.
He noted that the icons played their parts in putting the state capital in the global map in politics and education.
Speaking on behalf of the Adeojo’s family, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo thanked the council for their support to the family.
