A police inspector, Andrawus Musa, was killed in a Boko Haram ambush at the Police Mobile Force Training College (PMFTC) in Gwoza, Borno State.
The attack occurred at around 6:00 a.m. on April 3, 2025, when a team of officers from the Mopol Training School Gwoza and other Mobile Police units were on a routine patrol.
Counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama shared the details on his X social media platform.
Inspector Musa, attached to the 6PMF Maiduguri, was fatally injured in the attack. His AK-47 rifle was reportedly seized by the insurgents.
After the ambush, he was quickly taken to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead by medical staff.
His body has been transferred to the hospital for further examination.
