Must read

President Bola Tinubu will depart Nigeria on Wednesday for a two-week working visit to Paris, France.

His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the trip in a statement, noting that the visit will provide the President with an opportunity to review his administration’s mid-term progress and assess key policy achievements.

According to the statement, Tinubu will also use the time to evaluate ongoing reforms and strategize for the second half of his tenure.

The presidency emphasized that this period of reflection is crucial for strengthening reforms and accelerating national development.

The statement further highlighted economic improvements under Tinubu’s leadership, citing a report from the Central Bank of Nigeria, which showed a significant increase in net foreign exchange reserves.

The reserves reportedly surged to $23.11 billion, up from $3.99 billion in 2023, underscoring the positive impact of fiscal policies.

Despite being away, the President will remain actively engaged with his team and continue to oversee governance.

He is expected to return to Nigeria in approximately two weeks.
