FCAHPT organises road show to create more awareness

In a bid to create more awareness about the institution, the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology Ibadan, has organised a road show to mark the 61st anniversary of the institution.

Our correspondent reports that the institution was established in 1964.

The institution organised a road show within Ibadan metropolis on Wednesday so as to create more awareness about the institution.

Some of the areas visited included Apata, Iyaganku, Aleshinloye market, Dugbe, Mokola and Total Garden.

Others are Agodi Gate, Oje, Beere, Oja Oba, Idi-Arere, Molete, Challenge and Ring Road.

Provost of the college, Dr. Adekoya Olatunde Owosibo, while speaking with our correspondent noted that the anniversary theme is “Bridging Past and Future: Advancing Animal Production and Health Through Science, Technology and Policy in Nigeria”.

He explained that the road show was organised in order to create more awareness about the college.

He added that the road show also aims to create more awareness about the 61st anniversary of the institution and events for the 2023/2024 convocation ceremonies of the institution.

He added that 820 graduands are to be awarded with diplomas of the institution at the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND).

Owosibo said, “This road show is to create more awareness about the college, about the events of the 61st anniversary and the convocation ceremonies for the 2023/2024 academic session.

“We have 820 graduands that will be awarded with our diplomas at the ND and HND levels.

“The anniversary theme is “Bridging Past and Future: Advancing Animal Production and Health Through Science, Technology and Policy in Nigeria”.
