A General Overseer of a new-generation church with branches in Eagle Island and Diobu, Port Harcourt, has been taken into custody by the Octopus (C4i) Strike Force of the Nigeria Police Force over allegations of homosexuality.
According to sources, the cleric, known by the alias “Elijah,” was apprehended after explicit videos of him engaging in same-sex activities were leaked to the police by a man identified as Patrick.
Reports indicate that Patrick, who had allegedly been subjected to unwanted advances from the pastor, feigned consent and recorded the encounters as evidence.
Acting on credible intelligence, law enforcement officers tracked the suspect to a popular relaxation spot in Port Harcourt, where he was arrested and placed under investigation.
Insiders privy to the case disclosed that the pastor has reportedly admitted to engaging in homosexual acts with multiple male individuals, including minors, both within and beyond the city.
Confirming the development, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe Koko, stated that the investigation is still ongoing.
