Popular Nigerian socialite Bobrisky has claimed he was taken into custody by immigration authorities upon his arrival in Nigeria, just five months after leaving the country for personal reasons.
On April 1, 2025, Bobrisky shared the news on Instagram, writing, “Guys, I have just been arrested by immigration in Nigeria. I don’t know what I did o.”
His post quickly drew reactions from followers, who expressed concern and curiosity about the circumstances of his arrest.
Bobrisky’s return comes after his departure from Nigeria in November 2024, a decision he previously linked to intense online criticism and personal struggles.
At the time, he revealed that the pressure from social media and certain security agencies had affected his mental and physical health, prompting him to leave the country for a while.
Earlier, he had assured his fans of his temporary exit, stating, “I need to attend to my sanity and my health. Few Nigerian security agencies try everything to frustrate me but naaa, I gat God.”
He also recounted a travel issue where he had to purchase multiple business-class tickets before successfully securing a flight.
In a lighthearted remark, he asked the airline for a refund on the unused tickets, acknowledging that the situation was beyond their control.
