The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the death of an armed robber following a swift intervention by officers responding to a shop burglary at Water Board Junction, Byazhin.
According to police reports, the incident took place in the early hours of March 30, 2025, when officers from the Byazhin Division received intelligence about a break-in at a local shop.
The burglars were in the process of looting goods when law enforcement arrived.
On sighting the police, the suspects, armed with cutlasses and daggers, attempted to escape.
During the pursuit, one of them was shot. He was later taken to Kubwa General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Items recovered from the scene included a knife, a cutting saw, and a large haul of stolen clothes and shoes.
